British actor Clive Owen has begged James Bond movie bosses to decide if they want him to play the suave superspy.
Producers have been stalling for months over who will replace Pierce Brosnan as secret agent 007, when the franchise returns to the big screen in 2006.
A number of stars, including Owen, Ewan McGregor, Daniel Craig and Hugh Jackman have been linked with the role.
Dame Judi Dench - who plays secret service boss M - recently claimed Brosnan would return, despite being dropped after playing Bond four times.
Owen, who insists he has never been approached for the part, now wants studio Warner Bros and film-makers Eon Productions would make up their minds.
The Closer star says: "I've always wanted to be James Bond. I'll pour it all out right now! Why won't they offer it to me?"
