Nine feared dead in landslide in Java village

A landslide triggered by torrential rain has left five people dead and four missing in a village in western Java.

A landslide triggered by torrential rain has left five people dead and four missing in a village in western Java.

The landslide buried five houses, after a day of heavy rain. It also injured six people.

Residents in Karyamukti village have been digging through tons of mud in an effort to find the missing villagers.

In February, landslides around the nearby town of Lebak killed at least 106 people.
