Scientists in China have introduced human genes into dairy cows in order to produce milk similar to human breastmilk, which could be used as an alternative to formula.

Researchers say they have created a superior milk by introducing proteins that boost babies' immune systems.

They expect the product to be available in supermarkets within a decade.
