Knight Rider car for sale on eBay

Kitt the talking car from hit 1980s TV series ‘Knight Rider’ has been put up for sale on eBay to pay off the debts of its murdered owner.

Kitt the talking car from hit 1980s TV series ‘Knight Rider’ has been put up for sale on eBay to pay off the debts of its murdered owner.

The 1982 Pontiac Trans Am - one of just four made for the last series of the David Hasselhoff-fronted show - was listed on the auction site earlier this week but has yet to attract any bids.

It is being sold by lawyer Patrick Gil, the executor of the estate of property developer Andrew Kissel.

Kissel was found stabbed to death in New York in April 2006, before he could plead guilty to a multi-million dollar fraud case. He died owing tens of millions of dollars, much of which has been recovered by creditors from the sale of his properties.

The car - which Kissel bought for $69,000 (€48,068) in 2005 - has a reserve of $20,000 (€13,932).
