Louis Walsh is to be a guest judge on ‘Britain’s Got Talent’.
The Irish music mogul will fill in for David Hasselhoff when the London auditions kick-off in January.
The former ‘Baywatch’ actor will not be able to immediately take up his new position on the panel because he is finishing off his run in pantomime ‘Peter Pan’, in which he plays Captain Hook, at the New Wimbledon Theatre.
Louis, 58, will join Amanda Holden and comedian Michael McIntyre for the auditions.
He took part as a temporary judge in the 2010 series when show boss Simon Cowell – who appears in ‘The X Factor’ with Louis – was ill.
Stand-up comic Michael has replaced Piers Morgan on the judging panel after former newspaper editor Piers signed a deal to take over Larry King’s news discussion programme on American TV network CNN.
Simon – who appears in ‘The X Factor’ with Louis – won’t be taking part in the audition stages of this year’s ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ but will be on the panel for the live shows.
