TV presenter Nick Knowles was kicked off Celebrity Fame Academy last night and declared: “I’m off for a pint”.
Knowles, aged 43, sang Anastacia’s Left Outside Alone but failed to impress on the BBC show.
Viper-tongued judge Richard Park told him: “In the cold light of day, you are not a good singer.”
An undeterred Knowles, who sported a large Robbie Williams style tattoo on his arm, said: “I slept on the couch last night so I thought I’d carry on the rough look throughout the day.
“I said I wanted one night when I did a good performance and last night, when we sang Beyond The Sea, was it. I’ll ring a few people and then head off for a pint.”
Knowles, who has hosted programmes including DIY SOS, City Hospital, UK’s Worst…, Death by DIY and Land Fit to Live In, is a self confessed music fanatic and has played in various bands.
He recently went to Zambia with Liza Tarbuck to film Comic Relief’s Great Big Celebrity Red Nose Job.
Expulsions from the show will continue until the March 11 final on Red Nose Day.
