Cats star Fogarty out of Cork clash
Aidan Fogarty has been ruled out of contention for Kilkenny's upcoming Allianz Hurling League Division 1 final clash with Cork.
The Emeralds forward broke his left wrist in an accident at training last week, and joins Henry Shefflin, Richie Hogan and Lester Ryan on the Cats' injury list.
Fogarty is hopeful of returning for Emeralds' intermediate league game against Young Irelands on May 19.
Kilkenny are not in Championship action until their Leinster semi-final against either Laois, Carlow or Dublin on June 23.
The 30-year-old showed his powers of recovery when battling back from a broken ankle last year to be part of the Kilkenny panel that won the All-Ireland SHC title against Tipperary.
"It is a bit of a downer getting injured again after losing so much time last season, but I will just have to put up with it," he told the Kilkenny People.
"In a best case scenario I might get back in four weeks, but I would need a little luck.
"It is still very sore and I have little power in the hand. I have been told that when the recovery starts things should move along quickly."
