In his latest role as tough guy mobster Tony Soprano, James Gandolfini has meted out some rough justice to… a window.

The actor was so angry that he couldn’t get a line right that he pummelled the pane of glass on set, according to Steppin’ Out magazine.

Gandolfini’s hand started to swell after the whack and crew members worried that if he was hurt he would be heading to hospital – and they would be losing a day’s pay.

But a spokesman for HBO said: “His hand is fine. He’s on the set today and in a great mood.”
