Wolverhampton Wanderers have announced that striker Adam Proudlock has been charged with affray.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have announced that striker Adam Proudlock has been charged with affray.

The charge relates to an incident which allegedly took place in Newport over Christmas.

Proudlock is due to appear in court on Monday.

In a statement Wolves said: "For legal reasons, we are unable to comment on this specific matter.

"However, as with any such incident that may involve any club employee, the situation will be monitored closely and, once the facts have been accurately established, appropriate action will be taken if necessary."

Proudlock is currently on the sidelines at Wolves, after undergoing an exploratory operation on an injured knee.
