Rap legend Dr Dre will tease fans with samples from his much-anticipated new album ‘Detox’ in new TV advertisements for soda brand Dr Pepper.
The hip-hop star fronts the drink company's new ‘Trust Me, I'm A Doctor’ campaign, and he's using the TV spots to drum up publicity for his third album, as well as his Beats By Dre headphones.
In the ad, which premieres in the US on Monday, Dre said: "Scientific tests prove when you drink Dr. Pepper slow, the 23 flavours taste even better. For me, slow always produces a hit.
"Slower is better - trust me, I'm a doctor."
'Detox' is expected to be released later this year.
