Bob Geldof to wed in church which held Peaches' funeral

Bob Geldof is to wed in the church which held the funeral for his late daughter.

The Boomtown Rats star is set to marry his fiancée Jeanne Marine in a "small, low-key affair" at the church where they held memorial services for Peaches Geldof - who died of a heroin overdose last year - and Bob's first wife Paula Yates.

St Mary Magdalene & St Lawrence Church is also the venue where Peaches married Tom Cohen - with whom she had Astala, three, and Phaedra, two - in September 2012.

The 63-year-old singer announced his engagement to Jeanne soon after Peaches' death and his decision was defended by the actress' friend Jerry Hall, who said the family needed something to bring "joy and light" following their tragic loss.

He said at the time: "Bob has proposed. She is over the moon. Jeanne Marine has been a rock and a tower of strength over this. I'm so excited for her I am bursting to tell someone.

"Bob and Jeanne have been through hell, but they are determined something positive will come out of it.

After all the sadness, we need something to focus on which will bring joy and light."
