Michael Healy-Rae turned up a Kerry Debs and the students loved it

Independent TD Michael Healy-Rae is well known for his love of all things that go on in Kerry and he really went out of his way on Friday to attend a ‘special’ event in the county.

That’s because he showed up at, of all things, the Kenmare Debs!

Recently, Michael, along with his brother Danny, has been criticised for his high attendance rate at funerals in his constituency, but last Friday night his destination was the Pobalscoil Inbhear Scéine's Debs in Kenmare.

It’s fair to say he proved quite popular with the students, as they queued to have their picture taken with the Kerry TD.

The students were so taken with Healy-Rae’s presence that they even granted him the honour of adding his name to the now infamous ‘Will Grigg’s on Fire’ song.

Looks like that’s the youth vote in Kenmare sown up then…
