Watch honey bees take down a giant spider

When a fishing spider came across a honey bee hive, it was probably expecting an easy meal.

The spider is blissfully unaware of the power of the hive as it rests on the wooden slats surrounding it.

The bees take no notice of the spider as it rests, but as soon as it begins to move the bees start to swarm.

Suddenly, dozens of bees are on top of the spider, stinging it with venom and releasing pheromones to prompt other nearby bees to attack.
