Scared of heights? This may not be for you.
Pro climber Iain Miller took advantage of some of the recent sunny weather to record this absolutely stunning – and heart-pounding – view of a climb of the Cnoc na Mara sea stack in Donegal. It's pretty incredible stuff.
But
Sea stacks, if you don't remember from school, are formed when the coastline is eroded completely away - but unevenly, leaving tall vertical pillars of rock behind.
This particular one is 100 metres tall, off the South West Donegal coast - not an easy climb. But the view from the summit looks pretty damn spectacular, we have to admit.
Miller was one of the three to first climb this sea stack, and is currently on a mission to climb every single one in Donegal.
"This sea stack requires a great deal of care and attention to detail as the potential for epics are huge but the rewards are even greater," he says of the route.
"Gaining the summit is like being reborn into a world where anything is possible it truly is a surreal and magical place to be. The whole world falls away below and around you, as you are perched on a summit far from anything else."
Take a look at the full climb in all its terrifying glory here – that heavy, adrenaline-fuelled breathing at the one-minute mark says a
about the climb.
