A cyclist had a lucky escape when he landed on his feet after colliding with a car while cycling through Romford.
Jack Thoburn was cycling to work along a straight road at 22 miles per hour when the car pulls across his path, sending him and his bike flying.
The footage - which Jack filmed on his helmet camera - shows him tumbling over the bonnet of the car and landing on his feet - without serious injury.
Jack describes what happened in the YouTube description:
"After a very uncomfortable trip to the hospital in a neck brace and spinal board and various x-rays I escaped with just bruising. So I consider myself lucky. "
Unfortunately, his bike was a different story.
Jack says he is glad his helmet camera caught the whole thing as it has made it easier to deal with his insurance claim.
"At the time the driver was apologetic and was informed by the police that I was recording my ride and seemed to admit fault. But when it came to my insurance claim against her she disputed it. " he said.
"Safe to say the video has saved me a lot of hassle and 3 weeks later the cheque has already arrived from the insurance company.
