We're a bit jaded by the annual deluge of April Fools' pranks - corporate brands trying to be funny, we are looking sternly at you - but this simple trick from students at a US college had us in stitches.
The unnamed professor at Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Michigan, has one classroom rule - if your mobile rings, you have to answer it on speakerphone.
So the students got together to pull this simple but deadly prank on April 1.
(Word to the wise)- If you're wearing headphones, turn down the volume a bit, it starts loudly.
Luckily the prof saw the funny side, saying "I will genuinely treasure this forever" after the big reveal.
Although we're sure that was down to relief as much as anything.
The clip is a runaway viral hit in the US, clocking up over 2.6m hits since being posted to YouTube on Saturday.
