Paraic Sullivan, an Offaly GAA player, was parking by the Criminal Courts of Justice near the Phoenix Park yesterday when he saw a nearby unoccupied car about to get clamped. Knowing what a pain that can be, Paraic kindly stepped in and bought a parking ticket for the car.
He also left a note on the bonnet letting the driver know and suggesting they could repay the favour with a pint.
It reads:
"Hi there, I was parked behind you and you were just about to get clamped. I stopped them and bought you a ticket so they wouldn’t clamp you. Maybe someday you might do the same. Or you can buy me a pint :)"
And the woman whose car it was got back to him, thanking him for his kind act.
And despite some rumblings on Twitter that this had the makings of a great romantic comedy, Paraic says there's no chance of a date out of it as the woman is married - with kids.
That awkward moment when you remember the baby seat in the back, the date was only a cod folks!!! pic.twitter.com/QxaPQh11Di
