George the Wombat was just four months old when he lost his mom in a traffic accident.
She was hit by a car in Scone, in the Hunter region of New South Wales, Australia and when a passer-by stopped and pouch-checked her, they found little George.
George was taken to the Australian Reptile Park where he is being looked after by the park keepers.
Now eight-months-old George has come on in leaps and bounds.
Park-keeper Renee Gomez told 9News.com.au: “He loves his cuddles… when he just wakes up he is very energetic and playful running around like a toddler in a playground.”
