Some of us are still going through withdrawal symptoms after Breaking Bad finished up – but the cultural impact keeps on rolling.
In Oklahoma this week, police seized US $2.3m of methamphetamine in a major drugs bust - and, just like Heisenberg's signature product, it was bright blue.
Now, the original news report from Fox News doesn't mention the fact that the seized meth is coloured, but this is no coincidence.
Meth is usually clear or slightly yellow, and there's absolutely no chemical reason for it to be blue.
That whole scene about making "purer" meth using a new, different method? It's not 100% scientifically accurate - certain steps are left out or altered in the show.
This suggests two things: one, meth customers are fans of the show, and two: there's some even nastier stuff added to an already nasty substance just to colour it blue.
It's not the first time blue meth has appeared on the streets in the US - there were a few cases back in 2010, before the show hit peak popularity. We'll see in the future if it's becoming more common.
Still, a good drugs bust that involved a team-up with the DEA (just like in TV!) and a moderately amusing news story for fans of the show.
