Kay Burley apologises for calling Scottish campaigner a 'knob' live on Sky News

In fairness, it seems like he was acting the maggot.

Kay Burley apologises for calling Scottish campaigner a 'knob' live on Sky News

The usually unflappable Kay Burley was caught a little off-guard earlier today while reporting live from Aberdeen on tomorrow's Scottish referendum.

The Sky News presenter seems to be discussing whether to show a pro-independence campaigner on camera "because he looks like a bit of a knob".

Unfortunately, they were handing the live coverage over to her at the time so her pesky microphone picked it up for all to hear.

Oops.

Kay later tweeted to apologise for her language but said the man had been acting aggressively.

We're just surprised that 'knob' is Kay's go-to profanity.

Nice.
