It's Good News Friday!

Good news is always bound to give you that Friday feeling.

It's Good News Friday!

It's that time of the week where we treat our readers, as we think everyone deserves a treat once in a while.

We asked you on Facebook and Twitter to send in your good news stories as part of our new #bngoodnews competition.

We give a gold star to proud Moms sharing their news today.

A massive well done to Stacey O Flynn’s son who was one of the gold medalists taking part in the junior cadet world championships in Italy eariler this September.

Also to Davinia Murray’s son who "rang her today from school to tell her he got an A in his Irish exam! #proudmum".

A few of you are looking forward to special visitors coming to stay.

Clara Donnelly told us that her best friend and her mom were visiting to celebrate her mom number 2's birthday. She told us all about the jam-packed weekend she has planned for them at Kinsale Arts Festival.

And Jacqueline F. Daly also has her “bestest buddies” coming to Dublin to visit her.

Enjoy guys!

And in other good news...

Mary Nevin selflessly paid the release fees for a dog “so he can be rescued and not put to sleep”.

Sinead O Grady’s bestie Tanya Martin just gave “birth to her fourth beautiful baby boy”

And of course Mary O Sullivan is waiting patiently for the "clash of the ash" this weekend. She tells us she is "as excited as a child going on the school tour"and has the eggs ready for the sandwiches, the drinks chilling in the fridge, boiling water in the flask and jersey laying out.

Fair play Mary!

Though most of you are just sharing your positivity and happy today is Friday!

“It is Friday!!!” Eddie O Keefe reminded us and Anne Keating is just happy “that it is a nice day today”

Jeff Goss writes “I woke up this morning, despite all the bad stuff going on in the world, I made a choice, ENJOY TODAY, each moment offers a gift, love to all”

Hopefully all this good news will cheer up Betty Hogan who is sick with the flu.

Get Well Soon Betty!

So drumroll please....

Our winners are: Davinia Murray, Mary Nevin, Rebecca O Connor, Clara Donnelly and Anne Keating.

Congratulations!

Email us at desk@breakingnews.ie to claim your goodies!
