Flurries of snow have been falling around the country today but we're unlikely to see any more stunning photographs than these from Val Robus in Sligo.
Val - a keen snapper whose blog you can find at magnumlady.com told breakingnews.ie she was out and about in her car when the snow started to come down.
"I thought I'd head on up to the Gleniff Horseshoe (a scenic drive close to Cliffoney with spectacular views of the Darty mountains) and see if I could get a shot," she said.
And what a shot it is.
"It was blowing a blizzard when I got up there, I got soaked getting out of the car," she said of the picture, taken by the roadside on the south-west corner of the 'show, with the slope of Tormore mountain in the background and an abandoned schoolhouse in the foreground.
"But you always know you're going to get something good up there."
Val's pictures - she also took the one below of a dusting of snow on the slopes of Ben Bulben - were taken with her iPhone, and filtered with the Snapseed app.
Meanwhile Val wasn't the only one out and about in that area today.
Noreen Kelly took this great show of Ben Bulben…
…while Gavin Macarthur was also around the Gleniff Horseshoe and took the below pic (you can see more of Gavin's shots here).
