A self-professed geek has created an online atlas of the world's rudest place names.
Londoner Gary Gale – who describes himself as a "geo-technologist and self-professed geek with a life" - has created the atlas all on one website.
It features an array of unusual place names including the Albanian village of Crap, the Algerian settlement of Tit and Andrews Knob in Cheshire.
He said: "I've had a lifelong love affair with maps since discovering the Harry Beck map of the London Underground on the back of the London A-Z street atlas at an early age."
Ireland's Effin and Muff make it, of course, but Meelick and Dripsey are a bit of a stretch, no?
