Golden Disc Group has reported turnover for the year to the end of June 2014 of €12m.
That shows an increase of 43% from €8.4m on the previous year, and they claim it is driven "in part by new store openings".
Golden Discs opened six new stores during the financial year in Cork, Kildare, Swords, Blanchardstown and Stephens Green in Dublin as well as a pop-up store on Dublin’s Grafton Street for the busy Christmas trading period.
The group returned a profit of €30,885 for the period.
The Irish owned company reported flat DVD sales for the period in line with the market, but significant growth in audio with vinyl sales up more than 500% on the previous year.
Chart-track reported flat DVD sales for the Irish market in 2014, but growth in CD.
The company has 15 stores nationwide and is considering opening more stores over the coming months.
The company is also working on upgrading its website before the end of the year.
