Tesco Mobile passes 300,000-customer mark

Tesco Mobile has stated that it now has 300,000 customers, an increase of over 40% in one year.

"Growth has been driven by strong value tariffs, competitive handset price points and additional dedicated Tesco phone shop locations," according to a statement.

Tesco Mobile is a virtual network operator (MVNO) partnership between Tesco and Three, with 5.9% (estimated) market share.

Commenting about the announcement, Tesco Mobile managing director Elaine Russell said: "Passing 300,000 customers is a significant milestone for Tesco Mobile and we aim to continue to grow our customer base this year by responding to customer feedback and continuing to provide market leading value on our price plans and handsets, great data allowances and excellent customer service."
