The Jobs Minister Richard Bruton has welcomed the announcement of 30 new jobs at online news agency Storyful.
The positions, in the firm's technology sector, will be based at the company's headquarters in Dublin.
Minister Bruton has congratulated Storyful for creating "high-end" roles, and says its model of "innovation" in a fast-moving area is something his Department is trying to meet with its jobs strategy.
Storyful Chief Executive Officer, Mark Little, said: "We have ambitious plans for growth and innovation across platforms, and these new roles are critical to achieving our vision over the coming years. Dublin is our home, and we are excited at what’s to come."
The Chief Executive of the IDA, Martin Shanahan, said: "Storyful is a company which has brought huge innovation to the area of social media and video content and Dublin has been instrumental to the company's growth and evolution. It is most welcome to see the company now adding an R&D structure to its Dublin centre, giving the company a strong presence among the city's existing tech cluster''.
Storyful was acquired by Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp last year for €18m.
