Small firms body issues optimistic outlook for 2006

The Small Firms Association has issued an optimistic outlook for the year ahead in its end-of-year economic statement for 2005.

The association is predicting continued full employment in 2006, as well as further growth in consumer spending and exports.

It is also expecting overall economic growth of around 5%.

The SFA said small business was continuing to thrive despite difficulties this year in relation to oil prices and local authority costs.
