The EU's top health official has said there is no need to panic over the Europe-wide horsemeat scandal.
EU Health and Consumer Affairs Commissioner Tonio Borg told reporters in Athens that it was a labelling rather than a health issue.
Supermarkets across Europe have pulled millions of frozen ready meals from the shelves since last week, after tests revealed that large quantities of horsemeat had made their way into products labelled as beef.
The latest of these - UK supermarket chain Asda - pulled thre beef products after it found meat in Bolognese sauce supplied to it by Greencore contained horse DNA.
Greencore said the sauce contained meat supplied by the ABP Food Group's plant in Nenagh, Co Tipperary.
