ESB International strikes €30m deal in Turkey

ESB International has struck a €30m deal to jointly operate and maintain a power station in Turkey.

The deal comes on the back of the Tánaiste Eamon Gilmore's trip to Turkey which also saw Monaghan-based forklift manufacturer Combilift secure a €1m deal for new orders from a Turkish partner company.

Mr Gilmore has concluded his four-day trade mission to the country during which 24 Enterprise Ireland client companies were given an opportunity to showcase their products and develop new business opportunities.

Speaking in Istanbul, the Tánaiste said significant progress had been made in developing new markets in Turkey for Irish business which will help to create and support jobs in Ireland.
