Dublin City University has announced a new €230m development programme.
The funding will be used to upgrade its new All Hallows campus in Drumcondra, and will include funds for a new student centre and sports facilities.
The college also plans to add to its lecture halls and student accommodation on the main site in Glasnevin.
DCU currently has 16,000 students. It expects that number to exceed 20,000 in the next 10 years.
Today's announcement of a five-year programme is being funded through a significant loan from the European Investment Bank and the Ireland Strategic Investment Fund.
