Aldi has created 20 jobs with the opening of a new store in Wilton, Cork.

Aldi has created 20 jobs with the opening of a new store in Wilton, Cork.

The new Wilton store is Aldi’s 19th store in Co Cork, bringing the total number of Aldi stores in Ireland to 119.

To celebrate the opening, Aldi will hosting a family fun day, serving tasty treats, with entertainers providing face painting, balloon modelling and games for the kids.

The RedFM team were also on site playing music, with five shoppers set to win €100 each in shopping vouchers.

Speaking at the store opening, Richard Foskett, Manager of Aldi’s new Wilton store said: "Buying fresh, quality Irish foods in Wilton just got easier thanks to the opening of our new Aldi store.

"Each Aldi store we have opened so far has been a fantastic success and we are looking forward to serving the local community."
