250,000+ passengers to pass through Dublin Airport this weekend

More than a quarter of a million passengers are expected to pass through Dublin Airport this Easter bank holiday weekend.

It represents a 13% increase in the number of holiday-makers in comparison with the same period last year.

The Dublin Airport Authority said the large increase in passengers travelling from Good Friday until Easter Monday was due in part to the 14 new services which started recently.

Spokesperson for the DAA Siobhán O'Donnell said: "We're expecting more than a quarter of a million passengers to arrive and depart over the four days...largely in part due to the 14 new services."
