Wife jailed for penis attack
A jealous wife who almost severed her husband’s penis with a knife was jailed for six months today.
Umidah Setu apparently ,48, apparently flew into a rage after he criticised her performance in bed to that of his younger second wife.
Umidah, an Indonesian migrant worker living in Malaysia, ran to the kitchen, grabbed the knife and attacker her husband, according to the New Straits Times newspaper.
The man, who has not been named, managed to ride his motorbike to the nearest hospital where doctors were able to stitch him back together.
Umidah pleaded guilty in court today in the southern city of Johor Bahru to voluntarily causing hurt.
It was not clear if she will appeal against the sentence.
The couple have been married for 17 years and have two children, the New Straits Times said.
Muslim men in Malaysia are allowed to take up to four wives.
