The top three floors of a six-storey shopping centre have collapsed in Ghana, trapping people, according to witnesses.

The top three floors of a six-storey shopping centre have collapsed in Ghana, trapping people, according to witnesses.

Kojo Boadi, an eyewitness, said search and rescue teams were working to free those caught in the shopping centre belonging to the Melcom Group in the Achimota neighbourhood of Accra.

No figure on deaths and casualties was immediately known.
