News reports today said 11 Iraqis had been murdered in Baghdad – but there were conflicting accounts of how they died.

One news agency said they had been machine-gunned to death in a minibus; but another reported 11 members of the same Shiite family had their throats slit by masked gunmen who broke into their house.

Police reportedly said the family had been warned by insurgents to move out of their largely Sunni district, but had not done so.
