Reeva Steenkamp's family have welcomed a decision to upscale Oscar Pistorius' manslaughter conviction to murder.

Reeva Steenkamp's family have welcomed a decision to upscale Oscar Pistorius' manslaughter conviction to murder.

The athlete faces being sent back to prison for 15 years, after an appeal judge ruled the original verdict for killing his girlfriend was "flawed".

Jenny Strydom is a close friend of the Steenkamps.

She wants to see Pistorius returned to jail.

"I hope he enjoys his Christmas because this is going to be the last Christmas for the next few years that he has with his family.

"We can't have Reeva for Christmas, we can never see her again, we can never talk to her again. He's still alive and he's living."
