Assets linked to top war crimes fugitive Radovan Karadzic have been frozen.

Assets linked to top war crimes fugitive Radovan Karadzic have been frozen.

It is a strike against the support network which has helped the wartime leader of Bosnia's Serbs evade arrest for years.

In what appeared to be a related move, peacekeepers searched the Bosnia-Serb parliament building and the Bosnian-Serb army headquarters in Banja Luca.

Six large bags of documents were removed.

Karadzic was indicted by the United Nations Tribunal in the Hague in 1995 for genocide and other war crimes committed during the 1992-95 Bosnian War.
