A Pakistani soldier was killed when Indian troops fired at a post across the disputed Kashmir border, the army says.

A Pakistani soldier was killed when Indian troops fired at a post across the disputed Kashmir border, the army says.

The “unprovoked” shooting today is the third incident of violence across the Kashmir border in recent days, raising tension between arch-enemies Pakistan and India.

The two countries have fought three major wars since they achieved independence from Britain in 1947, two of them over Kashmir.
