A murder inquiry is under way in Britain after a 19-year-old man was found dead with “multiple injuries”.

A murder inquiry is under way in Britain after a 19-year-old man was found dead with “multiple injuries”.

Police were called to a property in Irlams o’ th’ Height, Salford, shortly before 9.20pm yesterday following reports of a concern for welfare.

A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said the victim was pronounced dead at the scene in Light Oaks Road.

A post-mortem examination will take place later.

Detective Superintendent Jon Chadwick said: “A young man has been tragically killed and our thoughts are with his loved ones at this time.

“I would urge anyone who has information that can assist our inquiries to call us as soon as possible.”
