Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi has defied an army ultimatum to sort his country's political crisis by tomorrow, saying he will push ahead with his own reconciliation plan.

Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi has defied an army ultimatum to sort his country's political crisis by tomorrow, saying he will push ahead with his own reconciliation plan.

However, the pressure on him has intensified with more protests and reports his Foreign Minister has resigned.

The country's army has given politicians 48 hours to meet the demands of the people and warns it will intervene if the government fails to heed "the will of the people".
