Loose bullet at Rio Olympics intended for a police vehicle

It has emerged that the bullet that flew through a media centre at the Rio Olympics was intended for a police vehicle.

The organising committee of the Games says it was fired from one of the Brazilian city's favelas, and was targeting a security camera on a blimp.

Instead, the bullet sped through a work room at the equestrian venue.

It was initially believed it came from a nearby army shooting range.
