A lion has been shot dead after straying from a Kenyan national park and injuring a man outside Nairobi.
The animal was killed by wildlife officials after it injured a man in the Kajiado district, some 35 miles from the Kenyan capital.
Paul Udoto, a spokesman for the Kenya Wildlife Service, said he had no information about how seriously the man had been hurt.
It is the second such incident involving a stray lion this month. On March 18, a lion mauled a pedestrian in Nairobi before being captured.
Nairobi National Park, which covers 45 square miles on the outskirts of the city, is home to endangered black rhinos, lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes and diverse birdlife.
