The Libyan leader said he will open arms depots to the people to defend Libya.

Libyan TV is reporting 48 civilian deaths, but there is no independent confirmation of this.

"We would call upon the nations of the Arab world, Africa, Latin America and Asian nations to support the victorious Libyan people to stop this aggression," said Gaddafi.
