A total of 37 foreign hostages were killed during the four-day-long siege of the Algerian natural gas plant, the country’s prime minister has announced.
Abdelmalek Sellal said the Islamic extremist attackers came from Egypt, Canada, Mali, Niger, Mauritania and Tunisia.
Algerian forces stormed the site killing 32 militants and gained control on Saturday.
Mr Sellal said three kidnappers were captured.
