Date set for Strauss-Kahn trial
A court date has been set to discuss a New York City hotel maid's sexual assault action against former International Monetary Fund chief and potential French presidential candidate Dominique Strauss-Kahn.
Office of Court Administration spokesman David Bookstaver said the Bronx hearing would be on Monday at 2pm local time.
Mr Strauss-Kahn's lawyers say the two sides have discussed resolving the case. A lawyer for his accuser, Nafissatou Diallo, declined to comment last night.
The alleged 2011 encounter forced Mr Strauss-Kahn to resign from the IMF and ended his possible presidential candidacy.
Prosecutors later dropped a criminal case against him, saying the accuser had credibility problems.
Ms Diallo says she was telling the truth about the alleged assault. Mr Strauss-Kahn says whatever happened was consensual.
