A powerful magnitude 6.8 magnitude has struck deep beneath Bolivia, although authorities have not reported injuries or damage.

A powerful magnitude 6.8 magnitude has struck deep beneath Bolivia, although authorities have not reported injuries or damage.

The US Geological Survey said the quake struck on Monday at 10.40am local time (1340 GMT) and it was centred 205 miles south east of Tarija, Bolivia.

The epicentre was 346 miles below the surface.
