Clonmel AC's Sean Tobin has come 11th in the 3000m final at the European Indoor Athletics Championships in Poland this afternoon.

Tobin's time 7:58.11 saw him come home 3.63 seconds behind Germany's Marcel Fehr, while Norway's Jakob Ingebrigtsen, Belgium's Isaac Kimeli and Spain's Adel Mechaal claimed the medals.

Earlier today, Sarah Lavin finished outside the qualifying positions in the 60m hurdle event, crossing the line in fourth.

Lavin ran just 0.1 second off her personal best which she set on Saturday, clocking 8.07.

Emerald AC clubmate Ciara Neville's day also ended at the semi-final stages of the 60m, finished seventh with a time of 7.37.

Joan Healy finished eighth in her 60m heat this morning, meaning she did not qualify for the semis, while Molly Smith narrowly missed out on the semi-final of the same event after a quick final heat saw her miss out on progressing to the next stage.
