WATCH: This is why you shouldn’t overdo goal celebrations

Yesterday Macedonia U16s became the latest team to get caught out while celebrating a goal.

They were playing Gibraltar U16s in a UEFA Development Tournament and were understandably thrilled to score a late winner.

However they made the poor decision to head over to their own dug-out en masse and celebrate with their subs and trainers.

Meanwhile, as all the Macedonia players were in their own half, Gibraltar restarted the game.

One enterprising player made a solo run toward goal.

A couple of the Macedonians gave chase, but most of the side could only watch in horror as the lone Gibraltar player tapped the ball into the empty net.

1-1. Oh dear.
