Brazilian footballer Fabricio ended up stalking off the pitch to jeers and boos from his own fans when his side Internacional played yesterday.
The left-back had been booed relentlessly by Internacional fans unhappy with his performance and he eventually snapped.
The player gave up any attempt to play the ball and walked to the edge of the pitch in front of the stands, where he shouted back at the fans and made obscene gestures.
When he was shown a red card by the referee for his behaviour, he began tearing his jersey off while team-mates attempted to restrain him.
Fabricio crossed the pitch toward the tunnel, but hurled more abuse at fans on the other side of the field before eventually being led away with fans still booing their own player.
Despite Fabricio's sending off, Internacional went on to win the match 1-0.
