UEFA reportedly offering FAI €10m 'safety net' fund

The FAI could be in line for a cash boost of €10m from European football's governing body.

UEFA are believed to be willing to offer the FAI the "safety net" fund to assist the cash-strapped association through its current difficulties.

The SIPTU union has claimed the cost of ongoing reviews into issues at the football body could put 200 jobs at risk.

The FAI has said those claims are unfounded.
